PAP Hollerich district

In cooperation with our neighbour, Paul Wurth, we are currently developing around 21 hectares of land to create a mixed-use urban district with a total of approx. 400,000 m2 GFA, of which 125,000 m2 is owned by Landewyck.

At least half of the district is designated for residential use, and approximately 20,000m2 will be reserved for retail and gastronomy. The area is centrally located in Luxembourg City, just 300 m away from the main train station. A special development plan (PAP) based on a master plan by the firm Albert Speer & Partner and Architects Paczowski & Fritsch is currently is currently awaiting approval. The schedule for this new district currently comprises the following milestones:

  • 2013

    Creation of a GIE (economic interest group) to develop Hollerich

  • 2016

    Presentation of the project to reconvert the industrial wasteland in the Hollerich district

  • 2017

    Presentation master plan of Nei Hollerich

  • 2021

    Publication of the special development plan (PAP) and the evaluation of the impact on the environment (EIE)

  • 2024

    PAP execution agreement

  • 2024-2029

    Start of construction work

  • 2025-2028

    Construction of a bypass road

  • 2028

    First residents move into the district
