Together for biodiversity: Landimmo Real Estate announces partnership with Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur

Landimmo Real Estate has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur, to support it in its various missions to protect nature and biodiversity in Luxembourg. The partnership will initially run for 5 years and will focus on preserving and maintaining a large orchard at Ditgesbaach, in the commune of Ettelbruck.

Support for the upkeep of an orchard
Landimmo Real Estate’s aim with this partnership is to support the upkeep of the orchard, with a view to preserving and improving biodiversity for animal and plant species, while combining the planting of traditional fruit varieties, which are thus preserved from extinction.

“Our commitment to the Ditgesbaach is ideal for us, as the site is located close to our Nordstad Administrative Centre (Ettelbruck ONE) project, which is currently under construction,” explains Landimmo Managing Director Jürgen Primm: “We also plan to organise an annual team-building activity in the orchard.

Responsibility for nature
Since 1982, the Hëllef fir d’Natur Foundation has been working to preserve nature by acquiring and managing nature reserves such as the Ditgesbaach orchard. It also implements specific measures to preserve biodiversity through national and international projects and ambitious action plans. Balancing strategic acquisitions, active management and awareness-raising, the Foundation remains a key player in nature protection in Luxembourg.

“In all its projects, Landimmo focuses on sustainability and responsibility towards nature and society. That’s why the objectives of the Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur are so close to our hearts,” adds Jürgen Primm. “Last December, we also organised a small event during which we sold a number of jars of honey from Parc Landewyck’s first harvest, with all the proceeds (€615) going to the Foundation to support their various projects.
